DISCLAIMER
PLEASE READ BEFORE ENTERING CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER SITE
In 2005, with the passage of Colorado Revised Statue 16-22-110, the Colorado sex offender registry was revised. The general assembly recognized the need to balance the expectations of persons convicted of offenses involving unlawful sexual behavior and the public’s need to adequately protect themselves and their children from these persons. It is not the intent that the information be used to inflict retribution, or additional punishment on any person convicted of unlawful sexual behavior or of another offense. Any reference to any victims is excluded. For complete details pertaining to the Colorado Sex Offender Registry Law, see the Colorado Bureau of Investigation website as well as the Colorado Statute Manager and enter a Search for CRS 16-22-111.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) maintains this site and evaluates the accuracy and integrity of all sexual offender registration records to determine if the data fulfills the minimum requirements for all Internet postings. If you believe any information found in these records is incorrect or if you have any questions, please contact CBI’s Program Support Unit at (303) 239-4222, or at sor@cdps.state.co.us. You may also contact your local law enforcement agency.
The CBI also has a tip line for citizens to report the possible location of a sex offender who has failed to register. You can call the tip line at (303) 239-5732 or your local law enforcement agency to report this information. If an emergency, you should call 911.
CBI cannot ensure the records obtained through this website relate to the person you are seeking information. Searches based on names, dates of birth and other alphanumeric identifiers are not always accurate. The only way to positively link someone to a sex offender record is through fingerprint verification. The information provided may not reflect the current residence, status, or other information regarding a registrant (offender). The information listed is what has been reported to CBI. CBI will update information when it becomes available.
Neither the CBI, nor the State of Colorado, shall be responsible for any errors or omissions produced by secondary dissemination of information from the CBI Sex Offender Website. Extreme care should be exercised when using any information obtained from this website. Make sure the records you access through this website pertain to the person you are seeking information.
CBI does not list other offenses that an offender may have been arrested or convicted of that they are not required to register for nor information referencing any victims. CBI is, however, authorized to release to the public Colorado Criminal History Records for an established fee.
The CBI does not post information concerning (1) sex offenders only convicted of misdemeanor sex offenses, or (2) juveniles adjudicated for sex crimes. You may contact your local Police Department, County Sheriff’s office, or the CBI for a COMPLETE list of registered sex offenders in your city, county or state. Some Police Departments and Sheriff Offices maintain websites containing information about sex offenders in their jurisdiction, consistent with CRS16-22-112.

I hereby agree, swear, I will not use the sex offender registry information to inflict retribution or additional punishment upon any registrant named therein, and I will not sell or distribute such information.
The Colorado sex offender registry includes only those persons who have been required by law to register and who are in compliance with the sex offender registration laws. Persons should not rely solely on the sex offender registry as a safeguard against perpetrators of sexual assault in their communities. The crime for which a person is convicted may not accurately reflect the level of risk.
Sex Offenders are only shown for areas under the Mancos Marshal’s Office jurisdiction. Cortez Police department and Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office are not included.
